How Rehoboam and Jeroboam had an opportunity to break from the sins of the past

We often see where the persecuted becomes the persecutor; repeating the bad choices of those they suffered from. We make effort to build upon the system we believe is just and equitable to all humanity. We try not to repeat the sins, mistakes, and lifestyle of our parents or culture. Especially if we had protest because of the abuse and treatment; and decided to start our own.

Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
